Random Stuffs

Saturday Dalton and I went to the Expo event at his school.  They had vendors set up selling crafts and products.  For the kids they had bounce houses, petting zoo and hayrides.  Dalton loved that he could get in the cage with the chicken and ducks. (note he and Peyton got haircuts the next day :o)

Everybody is happy when Daddy comes home!

And then there were three.  Oh dear!  I was talking with my neighbor yesterday and turns out she is feeding them too.  These are some well fed kitty cats.  OJ, Sparkles and Shadow.

Just for Laughs

This is what Sylvie wanted to wear.  She needed help with the tights over the footed pjs.

This morning we went to Dalton's school for breakfast and book fair.  It really was fun despite the fact we had to go out in the pouring rain.  Dalton picked out two books, drum stick pencils and an eraser.  I just love book fairs.  I took my camera and totally forgot to take it out.

I am enjoying the fall color so much.  The maple tree in my front yard is my favorite.  I just wished the color could stick around a little longer.  This is my view from the couch in the living room and I tried to capture it with a picture.

Great Halloween

We did our traditional Halloween again this year.  We all met at Beverly's so all the cousins could trick or treat together.  It really was fun.  Kinda sad that the boys are getting too old, but fun to watch the little girls trick or treat. Cody was not even with us this year :o(
It really was too hectic for pictures.  This is what Sylvie thought about posing for a picture.

She LOVED trick or treating.

Dalton's favorite part,  checking out his stash and trading with everybody.

Just a cute picture I took of Dalton the other day after a trip to Walmart.  He wanted this hat so bad and it looked cute on him.

Peyton decided at the last minute that he would trick or treat.  We pulled out his costume from last year.  He and Dylan paired off and had a good time together.

I hope you all had a Happy and Safe Halloween.

3 - 6

That sums up the season for the Mt Juliet Bears B-Gold.  Three wins and six loses.  It was a roller coaster season that started out great and ended with a lot of frustration.  I as so proud of Dalton, he did a great job and never gave up.  I am however, looking forward to having our evenings back!  No more Chris racing home to take Dalton to practice and no more dinner in shifts.  Peyton has started basketball already but that is only one night a week and Saturdays.
The play off game was today.  They played the Hendersonville Titans and lost 0 - 6.  It was a really good defensive game.  It was a perfect day for football.

Dalton. Not thrilled.

I let Dalton pick where we would go for lunch.  No surprise, he picked CiCi's Pizza :o)

Trunk or Treat

Last night we went to Trunk or Treat and the kids really had a lot of fun.  First we did the actual trunk or treating.  Sylvie really got the hang of things too.  She went running to each car saying "trick treat" thank you" and "you're welcome."  Her timing and order of things were a little off but nobody cared.  They just gave her extra candy.

All three of them road the ponies.

Then we had hotdogs and watched a little The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. The boys are old enough to really like this show.  Sylvie was more interested in the GooGoo Cluster the little boy on the next hay bail was eating.

Next up was the bounce house and obstacle thing.  Sylvie and I just sat down and ate suckers while the boys ran thru the obstacle several times.

It really was a lot of fun. I almost did not go since Chris was working late.

Today it is cold and rainy.  I was actually looking forward to today.  I have the fireplace ready to go and cooking/baking I want to do.  BUT, I think I may just declare it a sick day and curl up on the couch.  I have a head cold and head ache.  If my medicine kicks in a may get a little done.

Halloween Preview

We finally went costume shopping this morning.  They are just prepackaged but I am please with them.  Dalton loves his.  He is a Ice Wolf Ninja.  Sylvie is a Story Book Witch.  She LOVES it.  She is walking around saying "pretty."  It needs to be pressed a little but I just had to take some pictures.

Easy Like Saturday Morning

Dalton's game today is not until 5pm so we were able to have a lazy Saturday morning.  Sylvie had her chair right in front of the Wiggles with her slippered feet propped up.  Life is good.

Randoms

Today was a hard day.  Just trusting God's plan for my family, whatever that may be.

Some days I just love my home, other days I just want to move.  Yesterday, I had the downstairs clean, fall decorations out and the sunlight was streaming in.  It just felt so cozy and wonderful.

And the other bit of trivial news.  Sparkles showed up with a friend tonight.  Ha!  I am glad he is not alone all the time.  They would not share a pile of food so I had to give the new cat a separate pile.

Hopefully everybody will stay healthy the remainder of fall break and we can have some fun.

Fall Break

Fall break has started off good.  Last night we had our first fire in the fireplace and celebrated with making smores.  Yum!  I did not take any pictures.  Fire, hot sticks with burning marshmallows, and 3 excited kiddos does not allow much time for pictures.

Today the weather was perfect.  The boys played outside for hours with some friends.  Football and trampoline.

While I cleaned up dinner, Sylvie had fun with her turn outside.

I am having a little bit of a hard time finding pants for her this fall.  She needs 3t for length but they are way too big in the waist.  You may see these leggings a lot until I find some more that fit her.

Chris and Dalton are at practice right now and Peyton is on the couch in front of the fire not feeling good :o(  I have a feeling we will be going for a strep test tomorrow.  I must go bathe the little girl that has dirt under her nails from playing in my flower bed.

A Very Long Week

I had a very long, nothing fun kinda week.  I spent the majority of my day Monday going into downtown Nashville to handle some business for the PTO.  Ok I got that checked off my list.  Monday evening was spent at football practice and basketball tryouts.  Basketball is for Peyton and I think he will have a lot of fun with it.  Several of his friends are playing as well.  The season for that begins just as Dalton finishes football.  ALL DAY Tuesday was spent helping Peyton with a science project that was over the top time consuming.  Wednesday I thought I was finally going to have a productive day but something was not right with Sylvie.  I went through the McDonalds drive thru to get my Dr. Pepper and she did not want any chicken nuggets.  Strange.  She had what looked like a mosquito bite on her right leg that was bothering her.  When she finally woke from her nap she had a fever.  By dinner time the bite on her leg was huge and hot to the touch.  It scared me.  It was after hours so Chris took her to a clinic.  They put her on an antibiotic.  She was so sick and pitiful Wednesday night.  Thursday she was a little better but still sick.  Friday morning I wanted her regular pediatrician to see her because the bite on her leg was not getting better.  She switched medicines and it really worked.  Thank goodness, it was really scaring me.  Have you ever googled insect bites?!  It is not pretty!  By this morning she was back to her old self.  What a relief.

Today was football.  It has been absolutely gorgeous weather all week and I was looking forward to being out in the fresh air.  Sylvie, Peyton and I went over to the park to play while Dalton's team warmed up and weighed in.

Dalton's team took a beating today.  We have really been frustrated with football the last 2 weeks.  The coach all of a sudden stopped using Dalton.  We are baffled?!?  He played great the first 4 weeks.  He did everything he was told and did really good.  Dalton gives up too much time and effort to not even get the reward of playing.  He is not upset that they lost the last 2 games but he is upset that he is not getting a chance to get in there and do his part.  When he does go in it is just a play or two and in a position that does not do much.  It is all Chris can do to keep his mouth shut.

Dalton did not spend too much time upset though.  After his game, he got to go to his friend's birthday party.  They were going to the hockey game and then spending the night.  He was so excited!  I hope he is having fun.  Dalton's friend's older brother is here spending the night with Peyton so everybody is happy.

It is fall break the next 2 weeks.  We are bummed that we are not going to Florida this year but I hope we can find some fun things to do.

Homecoming

Today was Homecoming for the MJ Bears League.  It was a perfect day for it too!  The Bears played the Spring Hill Raiders and won again 26 - 0.  That makes our record 3 wins and 1 lose.  However, the teams are getting tougher as we go later in the season.  Beverly and Cecil came to watch Dalton today.  He loves it when people come to cheer him on!

Dalton #2 taking a break on the sideline standing beside his Daddy.  Dalton is eating up this time with Chris.

Then it was over to the park for the Homecoming activities.  The head coaches were the ones in the dunking booth.  That was a huge hit with all the players, pay back for all those laps and leg lifts!  Dalton was sweet enough to ride this little ferris wheel with Sylvie.  She loved it and ended up riding it three times.

There is just something fundamentally wrong with putting your baby in a cage and sending them into the air.  But again, she loved it.

This is what Sylvie thought about waiting in line for the rides.  Ha!

Now this was more Dalton's speed!

This little girl has had all the fun she can handle.

Peyton spent the night with one of his buddies last night so he was not with us today :o(

Ugha!

This child is wearing me out!  When I stepped out of the shower she greeted me with a "made mess."  This is what I found.

Downstairs in the living room is an entire stack of Uno cards thrown everywhere.  She has the sweetest expressions on her face the entire time.
I must go now.  I am listening to Alex munch on Trix cereal as I type this.

Laptop Troubles

I have ordered a new battery for my laptop.  I am updating from Chris' computer and can not edit any of my pictures which kills me.
We are all having so much fun with Dalton's football games.  This week we had to go to Gallatin for his game.  It was such a pretty day for it.  The team had to be there an hour before the game for weigh in and then the game on the field before Dalton went into triple over time.  So...we had a lot of time to kill before his game actually started.  Chris stayed with Dalton and the team while Peyton, Sylvie and I went and explored the park.  It was a huge park that we had never been to before and it had wonderful walking trails.

Then is was time for some football!  We played the Gallatin Green Wave. We won 18 to 0.  The one time they broke away and were so close to scoring Dalton was the only one fast enough to catch him and stop him.  It was AWESOME!

I am so proud of this handsome little guy!

He was starving after the game so we let him pick any drive thru he wanted (Sylvie was just way too tired for a restaurant).  He picked Krystal.  Really....

This is Sparkles.  You may have seen him on here before. I guess he is our outdoor kitty.  He showed up last winter and we have been feeding him ever since.  I still have not been able to touch him but he will talk to me.  Sweet little guy.

My wild bunch.

Backyard time with her Daddy.

Stealing cookies.

Her puppy was hungry too :o)

Peyton is really liking middle school.  His quote this week, "I kinda like school now."  Unfortunately it is the social part he is liking not the academic.

Today was Dalton's first regular season game.  It was a nail biter but the Bears pulled it off with a 12 - 8 win.  Dalton made a critical tackle that allowed us to score late in the 4th quarter.  My throat is sore from yelling so much.  Go Bears!!
That is Dalton in the far back of the field.  Not sure what position that is called.
