Not so springy

The second week of spring break was not as fun.  Peyton was sick with sore throat and fever....his strep test was negative, just a virus.  It was cold and rainy too.  So we just stayed in most of the week.

The boys had a good first day back to school yesterday but they were so tired.  They were both asleep last night by a few minutes after 8pm.

I braved the cold rain on Saturday to go to the half price sale at Carters.  They have the cutest play clothes for Sylvie.  My favorite is the little sister tee.  Lets see how white it is at the end of summer.

We took advantage of a little sun peeking out and went outside.

She just loves to be outside.  She did not understand why she couldn't go out the last few days when it was cold and icky out.

Today I am doing chores.  Tonight I get to go out with my MOPS group and tomorrow morning the boys have dentist appointments.  Gotta get busy.

Spring Break

The boys are on their 2 week spring break and enjoying it.  We spent last week in Virginia visiting with family and I enjoyed it so very much.  I love living in the suburbs of Nashville but I dream about what it would be like for my mom to drop by to visit or meeting my sister for dinner.
I did get to meet Paula for dinner one night.  It was just us, no kiddos, and we talked forever.  We ate at Abuelo's and it was delish!  It is one of the few restaurants we do not have here yet so I wanted to make sure I tried it when I was there.  Yum!   The plate that Paula ordered was HUGE, I had to take a picture.

There was a lot of eating on this trip and it was all good.  I met my dear sweet friend, Tammie, for lunch one afternoon.  We ate at the Lucky Dog and my sandwich and homemade chips were so good.  I have been friends with Tammie since my elementary school days.  She remembered that it was St Patrick's Day, I totally spaced and forgot completely.
Sylvie found a friend on the farm.  This is Tom the cat.  I love these pictures.  First she held her hand out for Tom.
And this is how she reacted when he touched her hand with his nose and whiskers.
Then she was off to watch the cows.  She was fascinated with the cows. However, if you ask her what a cow says, she still says "Meow."
Friday was my Father in Law's 60th birthday.  Somehow I managed to not have a single picture of him on my camera.  We took him to The Homeplace for dinner.  This place is fabulous!  I wish I would have taken the paci out of her mouth but oh well.  The front doors to the restaurant are original to the farmhouse and are gorgeous.
Me and my lovie!

Sylvie with her Nannie.

My handsome Peyton.

Then on our way home we saw this beautiful herd of deer. There was a least 30 of them.

On Saturday, Paula so gracious and hosted a cookout for us all.  Everybody had such a great afternoon.  Yummy food, bubbles, football, tree climbing and just hanging out.

David and Dalton, two peas in a pod or I think double trouble may be more accurate! Ha!

This is my handsome twin brother and his wonderful wife Julie.  I just love these two!

The entire gang!  We missed you Kameko and Beverly!!

Sylvie says "hey what's going on out there?"

The long trip home.

And this picture is for my Dad who thinks the only thing I do is shop.  Ha!  Since we got back it has been laundry, sick kid and doctors appointments.  Love you Dad!

Bee Bo and New Shoes

The other day I left the shoe closet open, it did not take Sylvie long to find it.  She found the basket of markers but I guess she could not find any paper.  So what else is a girl to do but color in her Bee Bo.  That is what we call her belly button.  The Belly Button Book by Sandra Boynton is one of Sylvie's favorites and they call it a Bee Bo.  Anyway....
I almost did not post this picture because I have never paid attention to the desperate need that my closet is in for PAINT.  I will just add that to my list.

This sweet little thing was 23 months on Sunday.  Can you believe it!?

I have been introduced to Zulily.  I am not sure how to explain it.  It is an online shopping site that has daily super deals.  I got her these $45 shoes for 13.99!  I love a bargain.

I need to focus on dinner now.  The natives are getting hungry and wanting to snack.

I am still tweaking the format of things here.

Moving

I am continuing my blog now on blogger since typepad is now charging me even more.  So welcome to My Little World on blogger.

Just a picture of Sylvie wearing Dalton's Green Bay jersey, because she wanted to, and eating an ice cream cone.
