Catch Up

Let me go back to Thursday.  Sylvie and I were out running errands and decided to stop and have lunch at Chick Fil A.  After she gobbled up her chicken she went into the playground.  She put her shoes in the cubby and was so excited.  She tripped over her feet and hit her sweet little head on the shoe cubby before she even got a chance to play.  I was crying, she was crying and the sweet girls in CFA were all so helpful. It bled a lot and was all over my shirt.  She ended up being fine and the bleeding stopped easily.  My poor baby :o(
They even gave her a little cow.

Thursday night Peyton had 2 of his buddies spend the night .  That was really easy.  They just stayed up late playing video games.

Saturday was dance class for Sylvie again.  She did so good and had a lot of fun.  Then it was back home to get ready for flag football.
Daddy and Sylvie trying not to get too much sun during the games.

Easter morning Sylvie immediately spotted something she wanted on the mantel.  The Easter Bunny had left some goodies.
Chris had to work on Easter Sunday morning.  Uhga!  I have a serious love-hate relationship with his work.  I am so thankful he has a good job but they really are not that family friendly.  Anyway.  He was able to meet us at Sherri's for lunch.

Now I am watching the tv hoping these storms will loose their steam or switch directions.  It looks like it will be a long night :o(

Snapshot

Just a typical snapshot of a scene from my house.  Well, kind of.  Usually there are extra kiddos over after school.  But at this moment it was just my three lovies.  I do love that there are so many friends in our neighborhood that the kids can play with but I also love when it is just mine.

Dance!!!

Sylvie had her first dance class today.  She loved it and did so good.  Her only problem is sitting while waiting her turn...she wants to keep moving.  I was just as excited as she was.  It was the cutest thing that I have ever seen.  I LOVE cheering the boys on at their games but I am also so thankful that I get to experience the girly stuff too.
On a bummer note.  Flag football was rained out :o(  It went from being a very busy Saturday to a laid back one.

Birthday Girl

We finally took Sylvie out for her birthday outing Monday night.  It is the first chance we have had since she turned 2 last Wednesday.  She is such a big girl! and acts more like it every day.  She is saying more and more and the boys are fascinated by it.
Sylvie had a lot of fun.  She was SO stinkin' cute in her birthday outfit! It did not go quite like I had planned.  It was pouring down rain and Chris had to take some calls from work but it was still a great evening out with the birthday girl.
First we went to Build A Bear.  She ran in and immediately started hugging all the animals.  I handed her the pink bunny and she loved it too.

My four most favorite people in the world!

Then we dashed over to Logan's Steak House for dinner before the torrential down pour.  We found out that Sylvie loves popcorn shrimp.
The rest of the evening was spent running in and out of a very rainy evening.  We stopped and got Peyton some cleats and then we took the birthday girl to Toys R Us.  When we went in they announced that "there was a very special guest in the store, her name is Sylvie and she is 2 years old." She was clapping and saying "yeah."  Then they gave her a balloon and crown.

She had fun running around the store.  Too overwhelmed to really shop.  Luckily it was a stormy Monday night and we pretty much had the store to ourselves.

I did not get any really good pictures.  There was too much excitement and brothers stepping in front of the camera. I am hoping to get her dressed back up specifically for pictures.

My baby is 2!

Monday catch up

I am behind on everything.  Chores, blog, scrapbook, PTO stuff.  I need to manage my time better, but with this pretty weather who wants to do the not so fun stuff.  We have had a very busy weekend.  It started with the Moppets (that's what they call the MOPS kiddos)  Easter Party.  Sylvie had a BLAST.  The cake walk was her favorite.  The music would play and the kids would walk around and when the music stopped they were standing on a number.  If your number was drawn you got the pick a Little Debbie out of the basket.
Then she decorated her own cookie.  She had more fun eating it.

She did not get the whole hunt for eggs thing.  She was giddy with the excitement around here but she just wanted to run and play.  When I got her to pick up a few eggs she wanted to put them in other kid's baskets.

Saturday was the first day of flag football.  It was a gorgeous day for it.  Peyton had a lot of fun.  Dalton had fun but I think he was a little disappointed.  The team he is on has a lot of kids that have played tackle football every fall.  So Dalton is not he dominant player of the team like he was last year.  I think he will learn a lot from his coaches though.

Peyton is trying to catch the ball in this picture.

Sylvie managed.  She wanted to RUN.  She was wearing me out.  I put her in the stroller and made her happy with dipping potato chips in water.  Yuck.

Sunday the boys both had birthday parties to go to.  So most of the afternoon was spent toting them to and from parties.  Dalton was cracking me up.  He got this pair of sunglasses as his party favor and thought he was bad to the bone.  Confidence vs cocky...it is a fine line.  Ha!

Finally Sunday evening I got to relax in the backyard and just watch this sweet little girl play.  I am sooo thankful for my fenced in back yard. I would be lost without it.  She can run and I can relax.  I turned the water hose on a little for her and she entertained herself for 30 minutes just filling up this bucket and taking it the various locations and dumping it out.

Precious.

We are finally getting to do Sylvie's little birthday celebration tonight.  We are taking her to make her first Build a Bear.  She loves stuffed animals so I think she will really enjoy it.
