Spring Break

The boys are on their 2 week spring break and enjoying it.  We spent last week in Virginia visiting with family and I enjoyed it so very much.  I love living in the suburbs of Nashville but I dream about what it would be like for my mom to drop by to visit or meeting my sister for dinner.
I did get to meet Paula for dinner one night.  It was just us, no kiddos, and we talked forever.  We ate at Abuelo's and it was delish!  It is one of the few restaurants we do not have here yet so I wanted to make sure I tried it when I was there.  Yum!   The plate that Paula ordered was HUGE, I had to take a picture.

There was a lot of eating on this trip and it was all good.  I met my dear sweet friend, Tammie, for lunch one afternoon.  We ate at the Lucky Dog and my sandwich and homemade chips were so good.  I have been friends with Tammie since my elementary school days.  She remembered that it was St Patrick's Day, I totally spaced and forgot completely.
Sylvie found a friend on the farm.  This is Tom the cat.  I love these pictures.  First she held her hand out for Tom.
And this is how she reacted when he touched her hand with his nose and whiskers.
Then she was off to watch the cows.  She was fascinated with the cows. However, if you ask her what a cow says, she still says "Meow."
Friday was my Father in Law's 60th birthday.  Somehow I managed to not have a single picture of him on my camera.  We took him to The Homeplace for dinner.  This place is fabulous!  I wish I would have taken the paci out of her mouth but oh well.  The front doors to the restaurant are original to the farmhouse and are gorgeous.
Me and my lovie!

Sylvie with her Nannie.

My handsome Peyton.

Then on our way home we saw this beautiful herd of deer. There was a least 30 of them.

On Saturday, Paula so gracious and hosted a cookout for us all.  Everybody had such a great afternoon.  Yummy food, bubbles, football, tree climbing and just hanging out.

David and Dalton, two peas in a pod or I think double trouble may be more accurate! Ha!

This is my handsome twin brother and his wonderful wife Julie.  I just love these two!

The entire gang!  We missed you Kameko and Beverly!!

Sylvie says "hey what's going on out there?"

The long trip home.

And this picture is for my Dad who thinks the only thing I do is shop.  Ha!  Since we got back it has been laundry, sick kid and doctors appointments.  Love you Dad!
