Football

Most all of my posts could easily be about football.  The boys practice three nights a week and games on Saturday.  So it consumes a lot of our time. But we all love it! Today was a divide and conquer day.  The boys had games at the same time on opposite sides of the city.  So Chris took Dalton to his game and Sylvie and I went to Peyton's. It was a positively beautiful morning.

Peyton is in the gold jersey #20.  We lost but they played a good game against Grassland
.

Sylvie loves going to the games as much as anybody.  She always finds friends to play with.  She is in the middle in the dark burgundy shirt.

The boys are on fall break for the next two weeks.  So they are some happy campers right now.

The Fair 2012

Ok so I have not blogged in 6 months.  Ooops.  I wanted to share a lot of pictures of our trip to the Wilson County Fair (in August) and this is the best format to do so.  The weather for the fair this year was absolutely gorgeous.  They said that attendance was down a little and I would have to say that it has just gotten too expensive.  Anyway we had a great time.

Spring Fever

Thursday was GORGEOUS here in middle TN.  After being cooped up with a sick Sylvie for 5 days we needed a day like this.

Picnic in the play house.

Played hard and still catching up on sleep from being sick.

Sassy

I may have created a monster :o)  Ha!  When I did my bow order a couple of weeks ago, I ordered one of the BIG ones.  I picked up this cute little outfit today at Walmart (for $7 dollars!).  Sylvie wanted to try it on when we got home and much to my delight the big ole bow matched.  Look at this pose:

Rainy Saturday

We are having a rainy Saturday.  Gotta love those every once in a while.  Peyton had a game this morning. It is the first easy win he has had in a while.  All the games seem to have been won or lost with in a point or two or in overtime.

My number 8 going in for the rebound.

My cutie-pa-tootie!

Day Two

Day two of wearing a bow.  Success!

Chris and I have started something new.  We are both very excited about it.  We are working out together!  Normally in the evenings we both just crash in front of the computer or tv.  Now that is when we are working out.  We both need it.  I just want to tone and feel better over all but Chris really wants to loose some weight.  We even took before pictures of ourselves.  I will not be sharing those...ha!  We are supposed to be taking pictures every 30 days of ourselves to see the changes....very motivating!

Bow Happiness

I did a little wishful "bowing" last week and placed an order at polkadotposies.com for some beautiful hair bows for Sylvie.  I was so excited yesterday when she left one in her hair :o)  She looked so cute!
Her face was still a little dirty from the piece of chocolate I gave her so I could get some pictures :o)

Basketball

This basketball goal was a great Christmas present for the boys.  They play almost everyday after school.  I am still trying to get Chris to move it to the other side of the drive way so it is not in front of the house. Anyway, today was sunny and 60, not bad for end of January!

We are supposed to have another warm day tomorrow.  I would like to get out and do something fun with Sylvie.  We shall see what the day holds!

Weekend Happenings

We started off the weekend going out with Danny and Rhonda to help celebrate Rhonda's 39th birthday.  By the end of the evening I had laughed so much that I did not have enough energy in me to laugh any more.  We ate at Margarita House and then went bowling.  So much fun.

The girls.

The guys.

Peyton had a basketball game at 9am Saturday morning.  That is early for a Saturday :o)  Chris stayed home with Sylvie and Dalton and I took Peyton to his game.  It was a good one too!  I was so stressed out by the time we got out of there.  He ended up losing by ONE point in overtime.

The rest of the day we were pretty lazy but managed to get a few things done around the house.

Today we went to church.  I really wanted to get a picture of Sylvie in her cute monogramed dress but there was not time.  And then we went out to lunch and she got cheese dip all over her dress.

I hope you are having a great weekend.

Fresh Air

We had a welcomed sunny, mild day here today and we soaked it up as much as we could.  The boys played basketball, Sylvie and I went for a walk and then we played in the backyard.

OJ came by to play with us :o)  handsome kitty

Dalton and a couple of the neighborhood boys.

Our days are pretty uneventful so there really is not much to blog about right now.  Sylvie will be 3 Years old :o( in 2 1/2 months so I am starting to really think about changing her room around and converting her crib into her big girl bed.  I am really hesitant to make this change because things work so well now.  The only time I think it is really time is when I have to lift her in and out of the crib.  She is a big girl to be lifting up that high :o)

Sunshine

Sylvie has been spending a lot more time in her room lately.  We put a lot of her toys from Christmas in there. Her room is one of my favorites in our home.  It is so sunny and bright.  I snapped this picture of her first thing this morning.  She was still kinda in sleepy mode.

This was one night before bed.  She was playing with her Little People.  It was so cute watching her. When I got the camera she acted so proud of her work.

Snow day and Basketball

The boys got their snow day yesterday.  With Monday being MLK day, that gives them a 4 day weekend.  They were thrilled! It was Chris' regular day off so we were all home.  I took advantage of it and got some errands done without kiddos.  While I was at Walmart, I found some of the cutest spring clothes for Sylvie.  Some of my favorite play clothes for her I find at Walmart.  I could never find anything I like when the boys were little.

Today we had to pick up Dalton from his friend's.  He spent the night with Carter, his best bud.  We all had to go straight to Peyton's basketball game.  It was a stressful game.  We ended up losing by 2 points.
From there we all went to Outback for lunch.  Our sweet neighbor gave Chris a gift card for Christmas for all the times he has help her with various things.  Then the most exciting part of the day for me....going to Home Depot and pricing the things we need to tile the kids bathroom upstairs. We are hoping to get this done next month.  It will make me so very happy :o)

Now we are all home, Sylvie is napping and the rest of us are watching football.  Nice.

and a couple months later

There is no way that I could ever catch up on the last 2 months.  We had a wonderful holiday season and I really can't believe that it has already come and gone :o(
So now it is January 12th and we are having a little bit of snow.  They boys are hoping and praying that they will close schools tomorrow.  Today when Sylvie woke up from her nap she saw the snow and had to go out in it and play.  She had SO MUCH FUN!

Inside and all warm again.

Here is to hoping tomorrow is a snow day!  The boys would LOVE it!
